A man can't ride your back unless it is bent.

Cannot...too/enough...，这个结构的意思不是“不能……太……”，而应理解为"再…也不过分"，"应该…"。

例1：We cannotput toomuch emphasis on grammar when learning written English.

译文：学习书面英语时，我们再怎么强调语法也不为过。（不能翻译成：……我们不能过多强调语法）

例2：You cannotbe toocareful in this matter.

译文：在此事上你再仔细也不过分。

例3：I cannotthank enoughfor your kindness.

译文：我再怎么感谢你的好意也不为过。（我应该好好感谢你。）

*注意，这个结构中的not可以用never，hardly等否定词替换，上文第1例可以改为We can neverput toomuch emphasis on grammar when learning written English.

再举一例：

I can hardlypraise this film toohighly.

这部电影评价再高也不为过。

= I can'tpraise this film toomuch.

= I can'tpraise this film highly enough.
